National Private Truck Council
Oh My Brain handled all website architecture and programming for the primary client contact, L&M Production Design Group. After eight years as major Cold Fusion Developers peddling out own custom content management system we took a shot using an Open Source CMS called Joomla. NPTC, or National Private Truck Council is build on the Joomla 1.1.x platform. Joomla is one of the most popular Content Management Systems available. Spawned from the Mambo CMS, Joomla offers non technical folks the ability to add content and manage their own website without the need for a programmer. You can with little ease create a wonderful looking website with tons of functionality. Joomla has a password protected administration area for the site administrator to handle all the tasks at hand with easy to use web browser based control panels and editors. This was one of the best decisions we ever made. We have done over a 100 Joomla database driven websites since. NPTC relies heavily on Community Builder for its member based operations. This ranges from collecting member dues in an E-Commerce package to cross member connectivity within the website.

A Moolet is a widget based on the Mootools javascript library framework. Mootools uses ajax to easily
keep a web page connection open to the server, thus dynamically updating a portion of the content without reloading the page.
